Nashville, Tennessee, March 22, 2004---Valor Security Services, one of the nation's leading providers of security personnel for regional shopping malls and part of SMS Holdings here, today announced that it has signed a contract as the provider of security services for The Mills Corporation retail and entertainment centers, according to Dan Rakestraw, president.

The multi-year contract calls for Valor to provide staffing for all of The Mills' 26 existing domestic properties totaling over 33 million square feet in 19 states as well as all future Mills' developments in North America.

Valor will be adding over 700 employees to handle this work, including a management staff of 54. The contract brings the total Valor portfolio to more than 160 malls in 34 states, with responsibility for a total of 133.4 million square feet.

According to Rakestraw, this contract is one of the largest in the company's history and is the result of Valor's overall experience and approach to this business as well as its specific experience with The Mills Corporation. "We have had the pleasure of working with The Mills Corporation on four of their projects, which gave them an opportunity to see our approach and discover the benefits of working with Valor in a larger way," Rakestraw said.
